These are the eight problems we are called out for most often in Dhaka, what usually causes them, and what our technician will check. Tell us which one matches when you book — it helps us bring the right parts.
Likely causes: low refrigerant from a leak, a failed outdoor fan or capacitor, a compressor that isn’t starting, or a badly blocked coil.
What we do: read suction pressure and running current, check the capacitor and fan, and find the leak before quoting.
Likely causes: a blocked drain pipe or tray, a unit mounted without enough slope, or a frozen coil melting when the AC stops.
What we do: clear and flush the drain, check the level and drain fall, and fix the cause of any icing.
Likely causes: low gas, very dirty filters, a slow indoor fan, or the thermostat set far too low for long periods.
What we do: let the coil thaw, test pressure and airflow, clean or repair as needed.
Likely causes: a shorted compressor or fan motor, a failed capacitor, damaged wiring, or an undersized breaker or cable.
What we do: insulation-resistance and current tests to isolate the fault safely before switching on again.
Likely causes: a loose fan blade, worn motor bearings, a cracked blower wheel, loose mounting bolts or pipes touching the casing.
What we do: locate the source, tighten or re-mount, and replace worn fan parts if needed.
Likely causes: mould on the coil and blower (musty), or an overheating motor or wire (burning — switch off at once).
What we do: chemical wash for mould; electrical inspection and part replacement for any burning smell.
Likely causes: a sensor fault, communication error between indoor and outdoor units, low voltage, or an inverter PCB problem.
What we do: read the code against the brand’s service manual and test the sensors, wiring and boards it points to.
Likely causes: a failed run capacitor, contactor or relay, a broken interconnecting wire, or a tripped compressor overload.
What we do: test the supply and control signal at the outdoor unit and replace the failed component.
Gas charging, the right way
Refrigerant circulates in a sealed loop. Topping it up without fixing the leak means paying again in a few weeks — and running the compressor short of gas in the meantime, which shortens its life. This is how we handle every gas job:
The system is pressurised with dry nitrogen and every flare joint, brazed joint and coil bend is checked with bubble solution.
Flare nuts are re-made, joints brazed with silver rod, or damaged pipe sections replaced — then pressure-tested again.
A vacuum pump removes air and moisture from the lines. Moisture left inside turns into acid and damages compressors.
The correct refrigerant is charged to the manufacturer’s specification and checked by pressure, running current and vent temperature.

Prices are for 1–1.5 ton units and include leak testing and vacuum. Leak repair is charged separately from ৳1,500 depending on location and access.
Common repairs
Prices include the part and fitting for common 1–2 ton split units and are valid from August 2026. Brand-specific PCBs and compressors are quoted after diagnosis, because prices vary widely between models.
